Exercise Physiologist
Maree is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, having completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise Physiology) at the University of Sydney in 2018.
Prior to joining the team at Veritas, Maree worked clinically as an exercise physiologist in private practice and hospital sectors, prescribing exercise-based therapy for individuals living with chronic health conditions, including diabetes, cancer, osteoporosis, neurodegenerative disease, arthritis and joint-related pain.
Maree has a keen interest in healthy aging, and empowering people to remain as active as they can through all stages of their life.
Maree is currently completing a PhD at the University of Sydney, where she is investigating the relationship between concussion and sleep disturbance in children and adolescents who have sustained a concussive injury. Her research has been published in a range of peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Head Trauma Rehabilitation, the Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport, and the Archives of Physical Medical Rehabilitation, and has been presented at national and international conferences.
